GRASSROOTS LEADERSHIP TRAINING
Grassroots
Leadership Training is a Church Leadership and Pastors Training program
devised by fellow ACTION Uganda missionary Jerry Bingham which brings
basic Biblical doctrine and encouragement to village pastors and
leaders. GLT utilizes a teaching format that Jerry has used over many
years of outreach to village pastors, some of which can't read
or write well. It is a simple and straight forward teaching
program that is always enjoyed by the participants. Usually GLT is
taught during 3 day long seminars. GLT encourages discipline,
teaching, and multiplication of leaders as GLT trained leaders then
train new leaders. 'Train and Multiply" is what GLT is all about. We've
seen churches started as a result of GLT. New ministries and outreaches
have also begun which include prayer ministries, hospital outreaches,
women's meetings, youth meetings and youth ministries in schools, and
evangelism.
